This is a new language from Rob Pike, one of the Bell Labs "Computing
Research Group". As in "Kernighan & Pike".

Pike was in the CRG when Stroustrup came up with C++.
CRG didn't like C++ and didn't embrace it - I gather C++ was deemed too
complex & slow.

Pike is a major talent - whatever he does is worth watching.
Could be why Google picked him up when the CRG effectively disbanded :-)
