Well,

The iliads are about $1100 from Australian retailers. You can't buy a
sony reader from an Australian retailer, and hence no warranty, and Sony
 Australia don't repair them.I don't think it's a risk I want to take.
I've seen them on eBay going for about $500.

I do like the sound of an extra 5.08 cms of screen diagonal, but as yet,
I haven't actually seen any in action. and if 6" screens are Ok, I might
be able to change my mind!
