[clug] Decent Chemistry drawing program?

I have a friend who is a chemistry student at ANU. She bought a new computer
and I convinced her to try Linux. Everything is going ok, except she is
getting very frustrated with the Chemistry programs I found and installed
(for drawing chemical compounds, bonds, etc). She downloaded a Windows
program called ChemSketch ("
http://www.acdlabs.com/products/chem_dsn_lab/chemsketch/") and is using a
Vista laptop to do the work. I tried to get it working under Wine, which
would open the program once and then never again. The program not only lets
you draw, but warns when you have too many bonds, etc. Pretty neat. Most of
the Linux ones I found however are just like a basic draw program, with a
pentagon shape tool and lines.

Seeing as there may be scientists on this list, is there a decent ChemSketch
type program for Linux? More than happy to compile from source.

Thanks.
