[clug] CLUG website - what do we need?

Hi all,

I now have access to the CLUG website and am working on modernising it for the
joy and entertainment of all. However, to disappoint the Wordpress
enthusiasts out there (sorry Pascal :-) I'm going to keep it as a simple set
of static HTML pages, albeit with up-to-date information and links to current
resources. I intend to keep the current style of http://www.clug.org.au, as I
emulated on http://mabula.net/installfest/, and do some neatening of the CSS
and layout.

The main question I want to pose to the group is what you think we should put
on the site. My feeling is we need the following sections:

* Welcome and introduction
* Meeting times, maps and information
* Mailing list
* what else ?
* Further links - linux.org.au, clug.anu.edu.au, clug.andrew.net.au,
linux.org, makethemove.net, etc.
* Contacts - me, Chris Smart, anyone?
* XHTML and CSS validation

That's the main page. Other page ideas are:

* Projects - up-to-date :-)
* Past talks - space for photos, notes, attached files, etc
* Upcoming events - CLUG, LCA, etc.
* others ?

I'd appreciate style suggestions, etc too. In the long term we're still
working out the model that works for keeping the page up-to-date and allow
more contributors, but for now it's Tony Breeds and I.

Thanks in advance,

Paul
