OOo would not work for the type of docs I'm writing ;)

I write in Docbook XML and chiefly use KATE as my editor.

I found out last weekend at the Install Fest that F11 removes the top and
bottom toolbars from any screen too. I've been using it a lot since then
(and apologies to the person who told me that - I can't remember who it was)
