A hardware issue - was Re: [clug] Firewall settings on NetGear modem/router?

Coincidentally I do have an unused Netgear MA311 802.11b (11mbps) PCI NIC
sitting around gathering dust...and it does work under linux but may require
some fiddling.

I won't be using it again because it refuses to work under Vista, and I
don't use wifi on my home PC anymore anyway.
