I prefer to refer to it as "One Way Brownian Encryption". :o)

From a practical standpoint, I find cutting a hard drive in half with a
drop saw
(big angle grinder) to achieve much the same confidence and far greater
safety.
Anyone with the resources to read stray bits from platter fragments will
have the
resources to already have had a hardware key logger covertly installed
on your PC.
