CLUG Programmers' Special Interest Group Meeting - 8th January 2009
===================================================================
Date: 8th January 2009 (Second Thursday of the month)
Time: 19:00 - 21:00 (or when it finishes)
Speaker: Paul Wayper
Abstract:
Paul will be talking about Trac.
Trac is a software project management system with all
the mod cons. It integrates into Subversion, Git and
many other repositories, and it provides a wiki, ticket
management, project timeline and scheduling, and more.
Best of all, all this is integrated together, so a
wiki-like link in a ticket will really link to the wiki.
Add pre-commit and post-commit hooks into Subversion so
that commits have to contain a ticket number, which is
then updated with the commit message, and you have a lot
of project management joy going on.
Paul will talk about how to set Trac up, how to install
those pesky scripts and the kinds of things that Trac
can do for your project.
