We were talking last night about TV tuners. I am very happy with AverTV
Volar:

That site has it for $66 inc delivery, I'm sure its cheaper elsewhere.

wiki about it. You just download the firmware into the appropriate
directory and it works.

I've had two of these now for about 12 months, both SD and HD works
great - given the price and the easy usage on Linux I cant recommend it
enough.
