This is valid, and I did fail to point out that I certainly wouldn't go so
far as to list the visited sites anywhere. That just ruins trust, and makes
them more likely to do it somewhere else. As parents, we should be
educating, not dictating (incidentally, IMHO this goes for government too).
Simply make it clear that you do know what they're looking that. Not so much
"you'd better not go surfing porn, I'm watching you" as "hey, I noticed you
were checking out [website], what's that all about?" Of course, you never
ask a question you don't already know the answer to ;) It only needs to be a
subtle nudge that you know what they're doing. Having the computer in a
communal area (or having the door open) is much more important than veiled
threats or a Big Brother type attitude.
