Hi people,
I have a friend I'm visiting to help with setting up a home server
and MythTV machine. She currently has a Shuttle case (a SB77G5 to be
precise) that isn't working for unknown reasons. A variety of
components could be suspect - memory, processor, disk, power supply or
motherboard. We'd rather not buy a completely new machine, and we'd
rather keep the 'small, quiet server' form factor.
My plan was to bring down a Via EPIA motherboard and some RAM and
use that in case the motherboard turns out to be toast, but then I
wondered if the Shuttle case woud take it. Or is it so customised to
the board that you can't just unplug everything and put a standard
Mini-ITX motherboard in?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
