| Ah, right-o. Fair ’nuff. (:

For otiose reasons I have the (nearly) complete DVD set of the original series
of Captain Scarlet, if you ever want to see Thunderbirds' successor. The
models were technically much better and were slightly larger, allowing for
more natural looking faces (instead of the bug-eyed children that the Traceys
and so forth are). It also, to me, has a pretty clever motive to the stories
and some nifty ideas for its time.

They recently revamped this series in CGI ("Hypermarionation") with the New
Captain Scarlet series. Same basic story, but all the writing and a lot of
the devices are quite new. Some pretty nice CGI being thrown at a kid's TV
series. (I also saw that they'd redone Dan Dare in this way a while back).

If people want to watch an episode or two at the Christmas barbecue I'll get
them running.

On the subject for this email, though, I'm afraid we've had Jason Stokes pull
out of giving his talk on Inform 7 this month, and from what I've been told
Bob is'nt able to give his talk, so if anyone is able to talk about something
- - even for fifteen minutes - then now's a really good time to start preparing!
~ What's the latest in your current project? Got any new hardware that's
really cool? Give us a spiel!

Otherwise you get me giving my OSDC talk and an impromptu talk about IPv6.

Have fun,

Paul
