Seth,

You are spoilt for choice as far as it goes for CMS. Another one to consider
is Joomla! (www.joomla.org). After working with Drupal and SourceMatrix I
have found it to be simple, powerful and extensible. It has a growing
collection of extensions (a la Firefox Add Ons) that allow you to do almost
anything.

I found Drupal counter intuitive to get started with and a rather steep
learning curve. However it took out the top CMS award this year again at
http://www.packtpub.com/article/2008-best-php-open-source-cms-drupal so it
definitely has the goods. Source Matrix relies on Java to interface with it
(ie its not browser only) and that was one of the main reasons we moved away
from it as each time Java updated something broke. We did not have close to
the number of assets mentioned previously but it was sloooooooooow even on a
local LAN. However it did have versioning of content which J! does not
currently have.

So head on over to http://www.opensourcecms.com/ and give them a whirl and
see what works for you.
