I'm not particularly interested in logging in as root, and I actually  
*want* DHCP and mDNS =)

What I don't want is modprobe chewing up 10 seconds of boot time to do  
nothing. I just have to figure out what it's actually doing that  
requires 2% of CPU and 0% of disk for that period of time.
