[clug] Another git question

I'm presenting a tutorial tonight on how to do unit testing in Django.
I have my complete history of "development" in a git repository - is
it enough to give people the ".git" directory (in eg: a tarball) so
they can then extract the project and follow my narration?
Is there a better way, that doesn't involve publishing the archive on
the Internet somewhere? I don't want to rely on Internet access when
at the Griffin Center, and I'd prefer not to configure any kind of
file sharing or stuff on my laptop (Bonjour/ZeroConf fanboyness aside)
