I understand that if you pay by credit card, you get some protection
as the credit card company will wear it (and presumably investigate
the issue). Viz, "Disputed Transaction":

Types of disputes Westpac investigates :
 Transactions not recognised
 Transactions not authorised
 Goods not received
 Services not rendered
 Transaction amount differs
 Defective merchandise
 Goods not as described
 Cancelled recurring transactions

Sounds like the easiest and most effective option.

My brother got stung by an on-line company (http://photonage.com.au) for
about $500 who took his money and never delivered the goods. So firstly,
a warning about that.
