[clug] HUAWEI E220 Under Ubuntu

Back in May there was a discussion about using the Huawei E220 under
Ubuntu with references to lockups and other problems caused by the
device being mounted as a CD.

I finally got around to trying this out as part of my get Ubuntu
working on my Eee project and found that the recommended (well it
worked for me anyway) solution is a udev script to prevent the system
from mounting the E220 as a CD.

Original link: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=656898

Summary for the lazy:

Add a udev rules file /etc/udev/rules.d/50-huawei.rules with the
following content:

SUBSYSTEMS=="scsi" ATTRS{vendor}=="HUAWEI ", OPTIONS+="ignore_device"

Using this and a wvdial.conf from the Ubuntu forums I've just
downloaded 140Mb of updates, so it seems to work.

Cheers,
Neill
