===================================================
Date: 26th June 2008 (Fourth Thursday of the month)
Time: 19:00 - 21:00 (or when it finishes)
Speaker: Michael Still
Abstract:
Since July 2007 Michael has been building an Internet
measurement system based on PlantLab (a network of 800+
globally distributed Linux vservers) and python. He now
has a measurement system that he uses to survey SMTP
servers connected to the Internet which currently runs
on a little over 400 machines, and probes around 10
million IP addresses a day.
Michael will chat about what he learnt about python, the
Internet, and appearing a lot like a spammer.
