The following might be of interest to readers here:

Open Query has various training days scheduled in Canberra (http://openquery.com.au/training/canberra 
)
Current for Canberra are several MySQL DBA course days. You can sign  
up for individual course days, so you can pick the topic you need,  
when you need it. Book before June 15th for $25 discount (per training  
day, per person).

There are more course topics, including for PostgreSQL (taught by  
Jonathon Coombes) and the "QA in PHP Projects Workshop" (PHPUnit etc,
