9.5) Find out what are considered the "best practices" in your language and
follow them.  If most of the language's respected people suggest you do
something one way; it's probably the right way to do it.  Although there are
exceptions to every rule, consider again whether you're being a genius or a fool
by bucking the trend.  If you don't know how to find out what these best
practices are; ask.
