[clug] 3G as a modem, through Virgin Mobile

I just got some 3G lovin' from Virgin via a Nokia 6220.  I feel I'm 
*this close* to getting it to work as a modem with Linux, and could use 
some help.

So it appears that I can connect at the PPP level (authentication 
succeeds), but then something disconnects me quickly, and I'm not sure 
if it's authentication, configuration, or that I am currently out of 3G 
range.  Is the process the same for GPRS?
