You've been listening to Gonzales too much.

The US Constitution is pretty clear that it's *not* a comprehensive list
of rights that people have. It doesn't say "The government can do what
it wants as long as it doesn't violate these human rights", it says "The
People grant the Government these specific limited powers and it has no
authority beyond that". There's an incredibly large difference.

You're obviously not the first to make the mistake, the US Supreme Court
have been pooping on the US Constitution for generations.
