Why not just use a `liquid` design?

One shall not `stop` at specific resolution, as people may not even
have the browser window open at full screen all the time anyway,
recommending fixed resolution just doesn't make sense. And then there
are an increasing number of people browsing through small device like
phones, PDAs, etc...
