Does anyone use yeahconsole or recomend any other stable quake like terminal emulator.

My problem is it takes its settings from x resourses and I cant seem to set them to take effect, what I would like to be able to do is set the terminal to open with ctrl tilda instead of ctrl alt y but the man is a bit vaige on how its done.

I am using Ubuntu/gnome so an alternative that makes use of gnome-terminal would be good.
