Yes, it works, but I'm not into DVD ripping so can't give you an update.

My recollection of it is

a. It took ages to build due to the dependencies, just seemed to go on and on
b. ripping on a P11 233 MHz machine literally took hours, though I suspect if I ran it on this XP2600 that would come down to 30 or so minutes
