To play youtube videos in Linux, you can use the youtube-dl script to
download the flash video file, then simply play the file with mplayer.

To play google videos in Linux, you can download the video file from the
navbar on the right of the screen, which will save to an AVI file, which
is also playable in mplayer.

Personally, I have flash disabled in my browser, since some people think
its cool to put a flash applet on their webpage with a cute animation
and loud music, which blares out as soon as I visit their webpage, with
no warning.  Because of this, I make good use of the above-mentioned
methods for flash videos online.
