Your need Gimp to be built with Python

Personally I think it is a super program, http://members.pcug.org.au/~rcook/Gimp/ was my first effort.

http://members.pcug.org.au/~rcook/Gimp/Pt_Macquarie_camp_sm.jpg is a recent three picture stitch
