I did a lot of the initial work on such a system at Reid CIT (I'm
studying Diploma of IT (Networking) there).

When a PC in one of the labs boots, it fires up a PXELINUX driven
menu. From there, you can boot from the hard disk (default, if the
menu times out), or select an emulated DOS floppy image, which then
boots and runs a batchfile that images the machine with Norton Ghost
via the network.

The menu is now configured to point to the ZENworks system they
installed during the last semester break.
