Keep in mind here that if you're a professional busker or entertainer, the
PPCA and APRA are going to stand over you for licenses and memberships even if
you're performing all your own material.  This is because they're basically
the mafia, but they've written the laws that allow them to run protection
rackets.  Even if you had all your songs published under Creative Commons
licenses, they'd still (by law, be allowed to) demand their cut of your
earnings.  Even if you manage to stand up to them, they've still taken their
cut from the owner of the venue that you perform in.

This is basically just another "beware of the big corporations" rant.  Doesn't
make it any less true.


I'd say "have fun", here, but I'm too depressed at the whole situation.
