I'd really like to recommend amarok, but I just can't. It seems to be
packed with interesting features, but unfortunately it:

1. Deals very badly with content stored on another machine on the network, and;
2. Segfaults and dies (with a nice autogenerated bug email) about every 2 songs.

So I end up playing audio via Kaffeine, though it seems to me it's
more of a video player but that may be because I haven't fiddled with
its playlist bits.
