I don't know where Windows and Mac are at wrt to boot speed, but I'm
loving Edgy's bot speed on my Dell 640m.

I timed it yesterday: 65 seconds, from hitting power on to fully
loaded and authenticated. Including entering username and password,
loading GNOME session, entering (a rather long) passphrase for
wireless network and waiting for wireless to authenticate.

I thought it might be interesting to try and tweak it further and
maybe have a section on the website for Linux Laptop speed boot
trials, or similar (I'll be using encrypted partitions, so s2ram is
not going to be an option).
