This definatly looks interesting, and I agree something unixy of similar
idea must exist. Failing that it sounds like something interesting to

Hey Boris,

Another thing I came across recently was using google earth's cache
file, and some gps mapper which outputs the correct formatted
co-ordinates and displays your current position on the google earth
map... here is a link to the mp3car.com forum where they are discussing
the idea:

video link that some guy has done on the forum as well.

I'm sure that the given solution as discussed is based on a windoze
platform, but there must be the *nix equivilent around.
Surely a *nix user came up with this idea, not a windoze user?
