[clug] Apache 2 htpasswd port 8000

Hello,

Im running apache 2....i have several alias's set e.g. http://localhost/web1 
/web2 /web3....I want to use a web application that runs 
http://localhost:8000 but i want to set a password on this. Any ideas?

I tried setting a proxy which worked but that protected the entire site, i 
just want to be prompted when hitting port 8000.
