I guess that one of the reasons why they use Microsoft products, is
because Microsoft pay (sponsor) them to do so...

They also install OpenOffice on their PCs. I'm surprised they don't use
StarOffice instead, considering that they have Sun as a sponsor as
well...

They also have this disclaimer :

"All computers donated have the hard drives wiped and all information
removed, using software and procedures approved by the USA Dept of
Defense and Microfoft Australia.

This is done to a standard where the majority of the population cannot
recover the data, unless using specialist equipment."

Giving the bad record of PCs sold on EBay by various US gov depts, I'm
wondering which procedures they are really using :))

ps: I never had any direct contact with this organization, I just had a
look at the website...
