Is there a reason *not* to use the cygwin rsync? Okay, other than the obvious
that a cygwin installation can be large and slow to pull down over a slow
link, but I feel it's worth it. I plonk cygwin on any Win box that I use and
I find it surprisingly useful. For example I can let the Win scheduler back
up my work desktop box to somewhere else on the totally Win network every
lunchtime via rsync. It's way cool for making (some) Win admins wonder how
you moved so much data so fast...

You could do a bare minimum cygwin with pretty much just rsync, but I think
you'd feel better adding stuff like ssh and maybe an editor or two.

I'm greedy. I let cygwin pull down everything so i can pretend I'm using a
Debian box when I open that green screen terminal. ;-)
