A wee while ago at All Bar Nun, I'm sure Steve Walsh told me that Brad
Hards has volunteered to speak at PSIG this week but that he needs a
laptop.

I can't see any list messages to this effect (perhaps my fault) but I
can bring along a Dell X1 that plays nice with external video. The Dell
is running a fairly up to date Kubuntu install and I can add anything
specific required.
