[clug] a good scanner

But it's not all bad news here (after the NIC debacle). We needed to
find a good scanner for our Ubuntu desktops and ended up going with
the Canoscan LiDE 60 (1200 x 2400 dpi, USB 2.0, A4). And it worked
"out-of-the-box" - costs about $149 from 7-Star Tech Shop at ANU,
also available from Harris Technology etc.

Use with "xsane" and it works like a charm - multiple output formats,
fast, no seperate power adaptor etc.

Cheers,

Bob Edwards.
