Not quite what you're after, but have a peek at:
* 'etherape' for a graphical overview of current connections
* 'ngrep' to search for interesting info (eg: ngrep "*" tcp dst port 80)
* 'ntop' for an overview of current connections
* 'tcptrack' for an overview of current connections
