[clug] proxies and the KDE control centre

G'day all,

I just set up my proxy configuration on kde (kubuntu, old intel
laptop), and all is swell except that for some reason, in the
autorisation box the "use the following logon info" option is greyed
out. Its not the whole box which is greyed out, just the one radio
buton. Any ideas on how to a) get it to work in the control centre, or
b) to get it to work thru the terminal?
