[clug] Podcasting CLUG talks?

Video (and sound) recording is quite easy to do: the effort is mainly in the
editing, assuming CLUG wants shorter clips that are of reasonably
watchable quality, and not akin to a Warhol movie.

I speak as the person who initiated the video recording of the PCUG Main
Monthly Meetings last year and who still has several unedited Mini DV tapes
in his bag. The plan for PCUG is to maybe do one or two a year for topics
that really deserve the editing effort: e.g. those which are likely to have the
widest audience interest.

BTW: I was very glad to get the Wink url from the CLUG list recently;
SVideo capture from computer display cards works, but is not of generally
acceptable quality. I have some blurry shorts of Firefox sessions to prove it.

Most of the objections (to videorecording) came back to me out of band and
third-hand. If I recall correctly, it was going to negatively affect the
atmosphere of meetings or something.
