Hmm, interesting.  Curious that many others have the same problem as my
housemate, but yours is ok.  I wonder if it might be a question of which
card (which manufacturer), or if perhaps your box is built differently.

Might be worth meeting up and testing a few permutations - my
housemate's box attached to your antenna, your cards in his box, etc,
etc. 

My housemate's away for a couple of weeks though, so I'd want to wait
till he got back.
