Thanks, but correct not what I really want to do. I can already do ssh -X
box and then startkde. But I really would like to get XDMCP working if
possible. I also don't use CygWinX but rather WinAxe as the performance is
better

This isn't going to help directly, but I've had success using the Cygwin X
server (as opposed to WinaXe), going "X -query box"
