[clug] Weird squid cgi error.

I'm trying to configure squid as a peer of a proxy further upstream.

If I enter a search term into google and click the go button,

I get an error like this

While trying to retrieve url htpp://www.google.com.au/search?

  Error 111

  connection refused.

It's like any cgi request breaks the cache. Even if I comment out the
config
line that tells squid to not cache cgi-bin or ? it still breaks.

Any help would be great.

   John
