A sort of network device that connects to a userspace socket. Can be
used for tunneling and such. It's a virtual device.

Actually, it will override. Notice the metric 1? The default route ppp
add will be metric 0 and hence override it. It's not a duplicate.
Best suggestion is to turn on debugging and post the output.
