After a debian (3.0) install on this machine, my route table looks
like this:
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric
Ref Use Interface

192.168.0.2 * 255.255.255.255.255 UH 1
0 0 tap0
localnet * 255.255.255.0 U
0 0 0 eth0
default * 0.0.0.0
U 1 0 0 tap0

This machine's address (fixed) is 192.168.0.2 ... but the network is
not connected.
I have a dialup ISP arrangement and can dial the ISP and pass the
identification process using either pppconf or wvdial. What is
missing from my route table that will allow me to cruise the 'net and
recover emails? All replies thankfully received.
