I have a router which had 64MB of RAM and no swap. One day I decided to
try to move more stuff onto that machine (DHCP, DNS), so now it has a
swap partition to hold the unused pages - about 2MB total. The swapfile
only exists because I can't find more memory for that ancient hardware
- it's a Pentium 133 with 8 x 8MB SIMMs.

Since I added the extra software, the machine takes twice as long to
start up and shut down - all for want of 2MB of RAM! Them's the breaks,
I guess.

Alex

If you use pirated software, you're supporting abusive monopolies.
