The A06 is $205 at the Computer Fair (one coming up this coming Saturday
at the CIT Woden). So is the 106D model but one could get it from one
dealer for $199.

Re the original Q from Christopher: stay away from the Lite-On brand.
There was correspondence about it in the SUSE Help mailing list. Seems
it has ((?)had) a problem in its code in the ROM and is/was
misinterpreting a kernel call which "zapped" the DVD drive -- or words
to this effect.

On the basis of this I bought myself a Pioneer 106D last Saturday.

Cheers.
