[clug] USB problems with Fedora

I have just done a fresh install of Fedora Core 1 after deciding to upgrade
from RH8.x. And I have a problem...
During the start up Fedora seems to detect my usb mouse ok, but then starts
to spit out the following message:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

It repeats this over and over again until it just seizes up and won't do
anything. Anyone had anything similar and found a solution?
