I have a Matrox G450, which is a nice card, but I have to disable all
the acceleration (even 2D) to make it work right!

With acceleration enabled I get a lot of font droppings and missing
text. Bad bad bad. Waste of money. I'm not the only one either:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=232390
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=66697

I have a dual-head setup, and Xinerama disables the 3D acceleration (not
that I use it for anything more than GL screensavers) anyway. All in
all, I'd have been much better off spending $30 on a cheap and nasty
card. What I've got was expensive and still nasty.
