I would suggest a gentoo-games livecd.

I'm not sure how it would be accepted by your target audience but it may 
be a bit of fun, something a little less serious.  I believe they have 
done the UT2003 demo and America's Army, I would expect them to do the 
UT2004 demo soon too.
